Moldova ict Summit

Moldova ICT Summit is the leading industry event aimed to gather all industry stakeholders, including government, business, multinationals, professionals and academia, to discuss trends and challenges facing the ICT industry globally and in the country, and define the roadmap for development and effective integration of technology, as well as the agenda for growing ICT sector competitiveness.
By bringing the cutting-edge global trends and inviting visionary leaders, the event seeks to break the barriers, drive innovation and foster higher aspirations at all levels.
The first summit,  Moldova ICT Summit 2010, took place from March 30th through March 31st, 2010 at the Leogrand Convention Center in Chisinau, and it was organized under the patronage of the Ministry of ICT of the Republic of Moldova.
The 2010 edition of the event drew about 1,000 participants - about 800 at the Summit and the rest at the awards ceremony for the WebTop contest recognizing sites hosted under the umbrella of the Moldovan ICT Association.
The summit gathered leaders from the Moldovan ICT industry, regional ICT vendors, government representatives, international professionals, and domestic business customers, which established a platform for dialogue and development of the sector.
In 2011,  Moldova ICT Summit 2011 and Moldova eGov Summit have been organized together. The event itself took place on the 18-19 of May at Leogrand Convention Center and gathered more than 1000 participants for all the 5 tracks. Participants represented the government sector as well as private ICT enterprises and developers. Over 50 international speakers from 19 countries (United Kingdom, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, China, Singapore, India, Portugal, Slovenia, Estonia, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Macedonia, Spain, etc) participated in the Moldova ICT Summit 2011.
The partners of the event were: The Ministry of Information Technology and Communication, the National Association of Private ICT Companies, USAID CEED II Project, e-Government Center, QLab Moldova, RCI, Soros Foundation Moldova.
Moldova ICT Summit 2012  was focused on the key areas to create a viable and smart future using ICT such as digital engagement of the citizen and education focused initiatives. The event setted the scene for increased cooperation, coordination, and trust between the public and private sectors, the Moldovan ICT community, Moldovan and international partners, and IT and non-IT companies.
Moldova ICT Summit 2013  was focused on e-Transformation and different aspects of ICT Competitiveness. It gathered more than 1000 participants from different areas of activity: government representatives, international organizations, educational sector, business leaders, professionals and students in computer science and computer technology, as well as academics and opinion leaders from Moldova and other countries. Over 50 international speakers gave presentations and lead the discussions.
